Caught the Mad Decent show in Philly (shouts to Wen and the other McJawners) where I saw Bmore's own DJ Blaqstarr while he was spinning alongside Diplo. The next day, waiting on the bus headed to the 410, and who boards but Blaq himself. We know each other from this article, so we politicked throughout the ride. He is mad down to earth and totally chill. Among other things (like the heavy-metal project he is working on with a dude he met in Guitar Center), we talked about what kind of music he bumps.

He also talked about how much he loves UGK's Super Tight..., as well as "Let Me See It", off of Dirty Money. This dude is the truth, watch him blow up in the next couple years. Yes, I've made this same prediction many times, but it's not my fault America's got bad taste.

was introduced to blaqstarr at the ubiq store. told him about a guy name jiro who wrote an amazing piece on him for mass appeal last year. he told me it's his favorite piece.
